On May 11th, GAC MOTOR announced the launch of the CKD project in partnership with WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the sole and exclusive distributor of GAC vehicles in Malaysia. The project, which will receive an investment of over RM 60 million, is part of GAC MOTOR and WTCA’s long-term strategy to support and expand its presence in the Malaysian market. Part of the investment will be used to upgrade production lines and facilities to commence the assembly of GAC vehicles in Malaysia – including the All New GS3 EMZOOM, which is set to roll off production lines as the first locally assembled GAC MOTOR model in April 2024.
